The temptation to respond to David's comments below with simple abuse nearly overwhelms me, but this list isn't like that.
There are many of us on this list and in the broader supplier community to have a commitment to the NHS and Primary Care which exceeds that of many GPs and others who work in the service. We earn our living trying (and often failing) to provide products and services to help you provide better patient care. You make your living trying (and often failing) to provide quality care to you patients.
People like Mike and I make our commercial affiliations clear and are careful to observe the etiquette of the list.
We all have a contribution to make - in partnership - to improving the service delivered in difficult circumstance. In the process we all hope to make a living and have some fun. Your unreconstructed "Gentlemen and Players" attitude is offensive and unwarranted and has no place on this list

Please tell me what you are doing on this newsgroup.... ?
Are you a GP?
Are you a practice nurse?
Are you a practice manager?
Are you a health care worker?
No..... you work for a commercial organisation selling software to GPs. In
my opinion you have not right to be on this newsgroup. The same could be
said for certain journalists and solicitors.
