We have done exactly the same thing in the last year and have found it makes a
big difference. Some people are annoyed that they can't be seen at the
begining of surgery and then go off to work/school etc. We explain that it
can't be serious if they are working! It also reduces visits as we say that
they will be seen at 10:45 with an appointment and they then have an hour or
so to arrange transport. We try not to see any children under 10 at home,
unless it is snowing.
