Come up and see me some time.
Q. Is the NHS currently well managed and run? (1997 version)
A....
all those who answered yes can oppose changes in it, all who
answered no or up to a point Lord Copper can _still_ give input to
their local orgs and nationally on how the next wave of running the
system we all work in and which is responsible for delivering our
pay and rations should go.
This is a far better chance than you were offered in 1989 -
remember?
So, applaud measures which allow the reduction in bullshit, call for
open exposure of information about the thoughts and plans of the HAs
and the commissioning groups/pilots/precursors of PCGs, offer your
considerable talents for dealing with people, and remind both the
citizens at large and that restricted subset of them working in
positions of influence in or on the NHS that they can have anything
the want - if they pay for it (TANSTAAFL), and that they can't have
everything they want - because nobody can pay for it, and that it is
up to them to decide how much they are willing to pay, and we are
going to help them to decide what they get for that.
