With the current headlines about the dangers of passive smoking which we
have known for ages, has anyone given thought about the dangers that GP
faces whenever he/she goes into a smoked filled patient's home or staff
room of a nursing/residential home. I suffer from mild asthma and
sometimes get wheezy after coming out of the room. I may sound paranoid
but my late senior partner died from lung cancer was only 50 years old.
He was a devout Christian and had never smoked and was a teetotaller.
Shouldn't there some protection for GPs from passive smoke?
