Very much agree but the time factor when a patient gets a different coloured
drug with them sometimes wasting an appointment or/and telephoning. Sending
them to chemist often elicits a request for new prescription from patient!
Its a real pain but the noise does subside eventually. Final resort is to
get patient and chemist to phone Prescribing advisor at Health Authority.
I've done this with requests for this Nicorete inhalator thingey. Lets them
know too that this generic policy is causing some ructions!
