DFI (de-fi) is a new association of doctors who wish to preserve the
sanctity of medical practice without coercion, imposition or fear.
DeFI is an association of doctors who wish restore the principles of
clinical and intellectual freedom, independence of all political
pressures and individuality in the art and science of the practice of
medicine.
DFI respects other's point of view. It does, however, believe that
greed and competition are bad for the proper and honourable practice of
medicine.
DFI also believes that the constant re-organisation of our affairs has
the following effects:
a) it exposes all the hitherto hidden differences between
doctors
b) it exploits these differences by pitting doctor against
doctor as it is clearly shown by all the different power
bases and politicking that is going on now
c) it submerges the doctors in endless arguments and re-organisation
debates and change so that they really have no time at all
to properly organise themselves to address the real issues
d) as a result, these real issues never get addressed because
doctors are forever running around in phony re-organisation
after another
If you really want to improve things, you allow the traditional forces
the time and space to properly organise. If your real agenda is to
thwart that process of sound organisation, you impose your own
re-organisation. By the time doctors begin to recover from one, they
are hit by yet another. These are well known and documented tactics.
DFI in a nutshell:
1. Doctors have the power to regain what has been lost and eroded
2. Doctors know what is best for their patients
3. Doctors have the intellectual and professional gravitas to determine
their own affairs
4. The practice of medicine must always be free of political or other
manipulation
5. The time has come for doctors to stand up for what they believe in
and what they regard as professional duty and obligation
If you are interested in advancing the principles of clinical freedom,
independence and individuality, join 'DFI' by writing to me.
Best...
Ahmad
