Value depends on (1) whether it is a first edition, (2) date of publication,
(3) condition. For some reason I cannot fathom, I do not collect medical
books, but I can recall paying £150 for a rebacked 1806 edition of Buchan's
Domestic Medicine and thinking I had done rather well.
