Quite honestly, when I got the apology e-mail from Ironfox, I couldnt believe
it. I was shocked that he should have to apologize for anything! He and
others are simply trying to help a friend, and thats the bottom line. As far
as "netiquette".....maybe I dont know much about it either, as I saw no
problem with the letter he sent, or the fact that he sent it. What I really
think is that people need to lighten up. If you didnt like the letter or were
offended by it, then disregard it and keep quiet. Dont criticize someone who
is simply trying to be helpful. Thats more than a lot of people would do
nowadays. And like I said....if any of you did criticize him, I think you
need to look past your netiquette rules and see the bottom line, and see that
he is a decent person trying to help someone in need. Maybe some of us can
take a lesson from him and show a little compassion once in awhile. I think
it sounds like some people are too worried about what they see on a computer
screen, instead of looking deeper, and giving praise to someone for doing
something worthwhile in this world. Paul, I applaud what you are doing. Just
remember some people have nothing better to do than criticize and find fault,
instead of seeing the good.
