I have the 'Energis' service installed. It's free. What it does is
intercept any calls that are not local and route them to the Energis
network (rn alongside power cables), thus achieving savings over BT
rates. The service is totally transparent to the user.
One of the advantages is that Energis provide you with detailed monthly
management reports that include, among other things, the logs you
describe as well as very useful information on the performance of your
'switchboard'. For example, I can monitor how long it takes for staff
to answer the phone. I am pleased to say that over the past 24 months
or so, staff have been answering the phone within 5 seconds, 95% of
the time. This info is graphed so that you can see at a glance how
you're doing.
