At Aston Clinton Surgery, we have a "Good Locum Guide", which has evolved into
a farily well indexed file, which we try to keep updated, covering who's who
in the practice, how we use the computer (EMIS), where to find things, who we
tend to refer to, any guidelines, common practice or protocols etc.. It serves
a dual function as it makes a useful induction and reference file for GP
Registrars. Its too lengthy to E Mail but if it would genuinely be useful to
you, send me your address and I'll post you a disc or a photocopy. regards Ed

Subject: Locum Information Packs
Following a minor hiccough with a patient being sent to the wrong hospital for
a blood test, we are finally getting round to setting up locum information
packs.
Do the list members have any thoughts/preferences on things to be put in or
left out?
What was the most useful info you got when you were a locum?
