Thank you, Ahmad, for the fwd.
One thing I was wondering about when Bill Gates was in Munich the other
week and signed a contract with Siemens was what this could mean for the
healthcare field in Europe. In a feature I read about MS and Siemens'
future cooperation in software for medical machinery.
Given the patient smart card plans of the G7 states and with Siemens being
a major smart card manufacturer, and MS being involved in constructing the
"national Master Patient Index" in the US (intended to link all existing
medical data about a person), Bill Gates could perhaps say whether there
will be some activity in the area of networks and electronic pt. records.
I would not be offended if you were forwarding this mail to J. Roberts who
is going to ask him questions.
