Thanks! I was there and still can't believe it's true. Perhaps I'll wake up
this morning. I had £5 on Wales to win. Best fiver I've ever lost.
(A sad man who spent many hours being crowed at in the 1970's by hairy
celts.)
I was lucky enough to be taken on a hospitality freebie by my brother-in-law
and it was a real eye-opener as to how other professionals live. These guys
seem to do bugger all except have meetings and phone calls and take weeks to
make simple decisions- the sort of thing that we have to do 20 times a day
in 5 (or 10, 15 ,20 ) minutes depending on list size.
And they get paid mega money.
And the company pays for their tickets.
And they provide good looking women to serve the free booze.
And they get free Bupa esque medicals to tell them they have asymptomatic
RBBB
And they don't have to get up at night to see snotty nosed kids "because it
might be meningitis doc because I saw it on the telly last week and I'm
entitled to a home visit and if you don't come out I'll rip your f***ing
ears off when I next see you(quote from a not very grateful parent last
week).
