First, most of them leave school with as little knowledge as they can
escape with.
Second, the concept of updating your knowledge is pretty alien to most of
them.
Third, they would rather believe their own rubbish than someone else's
rubbish.
Fourth, they need some kind of structure to shore up their lives, they have
to believe they know SOMETHING about health and disease even though they
know next to nothing.
Fifth, the idea of actually listening to us telling them stuff is hard for
them to absorb so the barriers are up already.
Sixth, most of them are just plain simple buck stupid.
