You misunderstand the way we get paid. Even if we *were* to get paid for
telephone advice it would not be new money. All it would mean is that those
of us who gave, and claimed for, any telephone advice would get paid a tadge
more *at the expense* of those of us who hadn't - who would get paid less.
This is yet another sympyom of our extremely sad and iniquitous method of
being paid which the government usually uses to get us all to do a great
deal more for no more money, higher targets being the only exception. It
sucks.
