Did you not know that every new drug is preceded my releasing snippets to
the media over a few months so that every body is aware about it by the time
it is launched.
The ABPI have no interest in trying to stop this of course.
I have had two requests already - one of them from somebody who won't take
"dangerous" steroids, but is keen to try a completely new and potentially
dangerous drug (wasn't there a brilliant new drug for diabetes recently).
Patients (and doctors) are clueless when it comes to risk assessment.
