Any amount that is contemplated has 2 elements:
1. Development cost
2. Maintenance and administration costs
Assuming that you are really talking about 'a web of knowledge', I
would suggest the following figures (off the top of my head and without
the benefit of detailed functionality specs):
1. Development: UKP10,000 - 15,000
2. M&A: UKP30,000 - 40,000 per annum
The above figures assume that it would be stupid to build a 'web of
knowledge' just for the sole purpose of looking up references by on
call clinicians. Of course, once you have the commitment to build such
a web, then there will be so many other functions that it would
incorporate.
