I did say I was being devil's advocate - I do in fact often look up
stuff in front of a patient. I rather hope the patients don't assume
I'm thick, though as I am balancing on the edge of the couch trying to
reach the magazines on the top shelf they probably wonder ;-)
I have the dubious advantage of having the euphemistically named
*practice library* in my room. Sometimes the ability to look something
up is outweighed by the duty to sort, order and file the many articles,
books and papers the senior (training) partner throws in my direction,
complete with yellow sticky attached "for the librarian". :-(
