No objection at all.
Someone on this list who has good command of English once said that I
was *taught* English at school (compared with present state of
affairs!).
It is interesting, though, to note that even modern usage when done
correctly, does enhance the communicative value of language rather than
diminish it.
Doctors, on the whole, are notorious for poor command of the language.
Don't know why!
