It is interesting to see that a judge has established for us that:-
a contract is a contract
for life, means for life (the promise made to the residents moved out of
the very nice building which
is now the community trust HQ, on how long they would be looked after by
the NHS in Mardon
House)
People who need nursing are the responsibility of the NHS.
Hard to criticise.
My estimate of the money spent fighting that legless case is that it would
keep my practice running fro a year (but the Finance Director of the HA, Mr
Rob Little (sic) declines to answer questions on this, as on most things)
Add in the cost of being beaten in the High Court in an attempt to be the
first ever HA to use emergency powers to close a hospital (in Lynton N
Devon) last year and the deficit in N&E Devon might be noticeably reduced.
