Anecdotally, I find it interesting who, often, the mothers of
teenage mothers (IYSWIM) are often excited about the forthcoming
baby, more so than their daughters. Of course, if you had a
baby at 16-18 then, in very general terms, you don't perhaps
get out of motherhood what you might do in later life, so when
the daughter you gave birth to at 16-18 also gives birth at
the same age, then you're only 32-36, and still relatively
young, and so can look forward to being a (grand)mother again.

Interesting. Been one home birth on our list in the 8 years
I've been here, so it must be rife in some practices. :)
