In all seriousness, us Paddies found Arabic a lot easier to speak than the
Brits when we were out foreign. The glottal stop for instance, there is a
very similar sound in Irish. ANd then the music----there are many
similarities between the rhythms of trad Arabic music and sean-nos Irish
singing (that's unaccompanied Irish singing, often with a very mournful
tone and/or content)
But I think we was here first..........
