Bob and Geoff
In some ways a good opportunity to introduce myself to the list members.
Martin Forsey is my name a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at
the University of Western Australia. My project is aimed at writing an
ethnographic account of a school I am 'hanging out' in over the course of
this year, and mayber a little bit of 1999.
You ask about lists in the Antipodes. As far as I know none exist, but I
would be very happy to be corrected on this. My impression is that
educational ethnography is an under-utilised tool in the Australian context.
I know there is at least one list in the USA as I found this list through
it, but the members there will undoubtedly let you know more..
I hope the Round Table goes well and look forward to hearing about the
issues that arise when you get the chance.
