Various people (thanks to I Chivers, O Stolz, L Makin) have
submitted their results. All results indicate that
dprod(x,y) is equivalent to dble(x)*dble(y)
The numbers also agree when reduced to 15 significant digits.
Some compilers display 15, others 16, and those with non-IEEE
(like) implementations even more (e.g. Cray).
We can probably assume this as an unofficial but consistent
and (so far) universal interpretation.
