Personally I find this feature particularly irritating - it results
in far more traffic to the list some of which is better sent to the
originator of the message. It also catches people out - particularly
when replying in a hurry.
Instead of the 'Reply-to' field being set, I would like to encourage
the originators to send a 'Summary' of their query giving the
original question and the results of their queries. I'm on several
computing lists where this is used and it works very well.
