I'm interested to know if anyone knows of any papers or technical reports
that describe a coding style or standard using f90. Some of you may vaguely
remember the OLYMPUS coding standard for f77 published many years ago and
others (like the DOCTOR standard at ECMWF) which were derived from it.
Basically the aim was to define a standard structure to programs and
subroutine; such as putting a comment block at the head of every routine
which specific sections, sectioning the code with headings and subheadings
etc), variable names would start with certain letters so scope and usage
could be easily determined (e.g. loop variables always start with J).
These ideas can obviously be extended to f90 and I was wondering if
anyone's thought of a suitable coding style or template standard?
Thanks
Glenn
