Barry Wilkins asked about "distance learning (such as OU) courses" -- sadly
the OU, much as quite a few members of its economics department might like
to, doesn't put on any courses specifically in Marxist economics.
There are two OU courses which take a distinctly critical look at orthodox
economics while teaching it (D216 "Economics and changing economies" --
mainly macro -- and D319 "Understanding economic behaviour: households,
firms and markets", which is purely micro). Having contributed to the
latter, my prejudiced view is that they are very good introductions to
economics and antinomies, but they are definitely not courses in Marxist
economics.
