briefly
i have written here before about the case of Jethro Cadbury who, apart from
being a Mainstream worker, was a computing lecturer on courses at South
Thames College and London Guildhall University
His I T has finished with a reserved judgement.
It was clear from the chair's remarks that they think procedurally
everything is okay despite the fact that in the autumn they set aside their
grievance procedures and said they would hear his grievances later, then
sacked him, then denied he had submitted grievances and now say that the
number of grievances he didnt submit shows he has a grudge against them
This is just normal employment practice
It was clear that they are concerned about the academic freedom aspect JC's
rep referred not just to his contract but to the 1988 ed reform act
whatever the decision is it will have far reaching implications - or
potentially so
i shall let you know... JCs thanks to those who have written to him or via
me giving support
