Keston
The reason the joke is funny, and if it is told well it is, is that it picks
up on the illusion that many have that if they only follow the rules
everything will be well. It is quite unrealistic about the situation in
Auschwitz...
I nearly told one about turkeys thinking they were safe because another
turkey got topped
It's a story, Keston. It's a joke. An exaggeration to make a point.
Your reference to The Hague, though, is timely given the news that a
precedent may have just been set there which will Radovan K. among others
off the hook. And he's a poet, he says, full of hatred and self-hatred.
Don't take action against these people, it has been said; let the law take
its course.
This IS important whether you can see it or not. Fer gawd's sake.
