Either I blinked or, God forbid, yawned & missed reference to this new
issue or Canada Post has outdone itself & others haven't yet received
their copies but the marvellous Parisian xerox has released to us:
new work by Andrew Crozier, Robin Blaser, Fanny Howe, Pierre Joris, Tony
Baker & DS Marriott; translations from Anne Portugal & Abdellatif Laabi;
Geraldine Monk & Anselm Berrigan & the sponsors' French household. Most
interesting to me as I am just embarking on reading John Wilkinson's
work, a poem from him that seems, at first meeting, to let you all the
way in, no resistance, no surface glare (personal shorthand: dazzle
attracts, glare repels), sheer delight! This cast list is not complete.
Get one!
Best, Pete.
ps to AN
I think "pauses, for girls..." is a great title & when my muse comes by
for the rent I'll ask her... Unless you could give us one first. This
might be a commission, unless Lisa Robertson's Debbie has beaten us both
to the draw, "Books and girls are real lacunae, ya."
