What's all this about censorship meant to be proving? Old Ginsberg was
just about the most successful poet there has been in the English-speaking
world this century. So if he was oppressed and censored by the british
establishment (as I dare say he was) that would seem to prove that such
oppression and such censorship are good for you.
I'd also like to say (though I may have misunderstood what was being
described) that if the Manchester Police were successful in censoring and
suppressing a publication promoting virulent racism, then the Manchester
Police are my friends.
I shouldn't be doing this I've got a poetry conference on my hands in two days.
