Thanks for that Peter. An excellent list. Particularly if taken in the
spirit offered, i.e. not definitive, but valuable, and not listed in
opposition to other possibilities, but as work of worth in its own right..
I don't know if this is a runner, given the very tight constraints most of
us are working under, but would listees be even remotely interested in
posting a few paragraphs from time to time about a writer or piece of
writing they like. It could be a simple way of ensuring that interesting
writers do not become entirely invisible.
