Christopher, I didn't think you were ignoring me. I was *saying _ignore me_.
I started to write a message that wasn't worth being written and then did
something odd with my damned machine that seemed to scupper it and I gave
up. As I say it was an idle posting and I was online and wanted to get off
because of cost
Next thing I knew I got the beginning back as a published posting. So I said
ignore me!
I think Ernest should look at the diction of his recent postings and ponder
it. Not living in the past. Living in an imagined past. A bit like living in
Carshalton Beeches.
So, apologies, as I said, ignore me!

|Sorry I wasn't ignoring you, I was pondering out loud on what the
|signifiers are in a piece of writing. If I want to regard a piece of
|writing as a poem I can, but we don't have to reach agreement on this. I
|don't think there's much mileage in trying to define the specific
|indicators of poetry or prose. Ernest seems to claim that the pricipal
|indicator is the original intent of the writer. I'm happy with that
|although none of us have to agree.
