... and fine voice they were all in too (though MO'S's tape was a little
furry). I especially got a lot out of hearing the Domestic Ambient B's
via this medium -- became really aware of fantastic sound textures.
For those within 3 miles of so of RFH who can find Resonance FM
(107.3FM), the following might be of particular interest:
this Tuesday 23rd, 8.30 p.m., an extended version of cris cheek's
award-winning "field sound narrative" 'Songs from Madagascar'. Repeated
Tuesday 30th, some time between 9 a.m. & noon, along with other British
works including 'Engaged' magazine, Ian Breakwell, and more -- in fact
that whole programme is being presented by cris.
next Sunday 28 June, 9.30 p.m. storyteller Ben Haggarty & musician
Sianed Jones collaboration
Bob cobbing appears again on Thursday 2 July sometime between 9 & 12
(morning) with other material from Ireland (?).
Friday 3rd, some time 9-12, Carlyle Reedy doing 'Slave Ship' along with
"explorative sound treatments" by Paul Burwell.
(Also, 'The city wears a slouch hat', made in the '40s by Kenneth
Patchen & John Cage was fab last week, and is repeated Wednesday 24th
either at 8.30 pm. or about 45 mins later, I guess; Glenn Gould's
'Solitude' trilogy made in 1967, Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th, Wed 1st
July, sometime in the 8.30-10 p.m. slot.)
(Hope these are transcribed accurately from the slightly confusing
schedules. There have been a few changes of prgramme hitherto, as well.
