As Mr Beckett said in his Exagmination of Work in Progress, "The danger
is in neatness of identification".
I know it's on the first page. After page five I thought I'd better read
Finnegan's Wake first and so far I've never felt quite up to it. But
it's nevertheless a useful remark.
