I have been involved in poetry on the Internet for ten years now.
Poetry in English seems very healthy and good poems are acknowledged
worldwide. To me there is no discrimination
between British poetry, American poetry, etc.
What matters is if it is any good or not.
If you look at my magazine `Lynx: Poetry from Bath'
http://www.bath.ac.uk/~exxdgdc/lynx.html
you will see good poetry in English from around the world.
And I am sure George Simmers and John Tranter would echo me.
There is no weakness today in English poetry. Just a weakness
in the official London and New York publishers who refuse to
acknowledge it.
