a nice crowd for the first Barque reading last night, plenty of new faces,
about a 50/50 poet/non-poet split it seemed, this bodes well
afterward, hookah til near death, til dawn
please come to:
SAM BRENTON and JEREMY HARDINGHAM
both young writers, actors, directors, friends. Sam has his first
publication since a little stapled bit I did with Barque years ago, coming
out from Poetical Histories shortly: _Telephone Voices_. Jeremy has a
Barque book on the brink of being xeroxed, called _AND YET BUT STILL JUST
THIS_, a play, performed in Edinburgh earlier this year to general
disarray and bewilderment ("A mess" -- The Guardian). This shall be at:
Po Na Na, 7b Jesus Lane, Cambridge
7.30-8.30, thursday 19th November
thanks to those of you who made it last night, hope you had a good time
K
