Such petulance!
I couldn't give a damn about hit counts either, but it's not as if anyone
else is saying much... If worrying about them keeps people contented, it's
not going to bother me very much
IP's comparison, however, seems to me ridiculous
The details of how people write *can be boring, maybe they are, but they are
also clues as to what writing is. I think that is an important inquiry; and,
if conducted well, needn't be boring. I am confident that Ric will get
something much less than boring out of the data.
The implication of finding such details _boring_, without any qualification,
is a lack of interest in the nature of what we are doing or a conviction
that one knows that nature; and surely both are untenable positions for
anyone open to poetry
Keston and Doug are interesting and incisive, but they're not the only
people in the world.

Subject: being bored
|Who cares how many times anybody etc etc? It's almost as boring as knowing
|where people write and with what size pen.
|This can't just be because Keston and Doug are out of touch for the moment,
|can it?
