Poor old J. Redmond, how awful it must be to be obsessed with the
qualification "MAJOR POET"and to feel it's your duty to inform the public
when one does/doesn't show his/her face. It must be like having a constant
pain in your left side. Does anyone know a cure? If so, send recipe to
Angel Exhaust, London.
Geoffrey Hill is a poet to be taken seriously but went many years ago to be
a Professor of Theology at an American University (I cannot remember which)
and naturally enough, has not been much heard from since.
In Kentish Town they sing---
"There is a G.Hill far away."
