Somewhere in between the reports on the spectacular demise of the
"sleaze"-stained spin meister, "Thought for the Day" and an interview
with Larry Flynt, Radio 4's "Today" programme this morning ran a
short item on the impact of IT on the archivist and historian.
A representative from the PRO and a mediaeval historian touched
briefly on some of the challenges of capturing and storing electronic
records, and expanded very enthusiastically on the opportunities
afforded to the researcher by the emerging resource discovery tools.
