EPSRC PhD Studentship in Civil Engineering Measurement
Applications are invited from good honours graduates to join this
international centre of excellence in Civil Engineering to conduct PhD
research in the area of Civil Engineering Measurement. The post is
funded by the EPSRC and will involve investigation of the role of modern
positioning technologies (e.g. GPS, GLONASS and Geographical Information
Systems) in Civil Engineering and Transport.
The research, expected to commence in October 1998, will require a
strong background in Mathematics/Statistics and would suit applicants
with (or those expecting to obtain) good first degrees in any branch of
Engineering, Geodesy, Surveying, Mathematics, Physics and Computer
Science.
