Government Statistical Service - Guide to Longitudinal Data Sources
In 1996 the UK Government Statistical Service produced a booklet
called 'Longitudinal
Data Sources: A Guide to Official Sources' which aimed to give users
an awareness of
longitudinal data sources and encourage their use. However, it
covered only data
sources produced, or primarily sponsored by, government.
The aim now is to build further on this Guide, to both update and
extend its
scope and coverage, to collect more detailed information on the data
sources
and to include non government sources.
In order to learn more on non-governmental longitudinal surveys, we
would appreciate
hearing from allstat users about longitudinal surveys in which they
are involved in order
to make sure we do not omit any relevant sources which would be of
interest to readers.
If you would like us to consider including any longitudinal sources,
please e-mail me
with a brief description which includes sample size and number of
sweeps or data
collection periods.
Thank you for your help.
