VACANCY FOR MEDICAL STATISTICIAN IN UGANDA
The MRC Programme on AIDS in Uganda would like to hear
from medical statisticians interested in working in Uganda available
to start work as soon as possible. The Programme was established in
1988 and is engaged in a number of epidemiological studies of HIV and
AIDS, including investigations into the population dynamics and
natural history of the disease and studies evaluating various
interventions to limit its impact. The post would offer an excellent
opportunity for gaining work experience in the tropical field. The
ideal candidate would be trained to Master's degree level with
experience in data base management and statistical analysis of
epidemiological data. The salary would be on local terms (tax-free)
with accommodation provided in Entebbe, where the Programme main
office is located. Uganda is a very pleasant place to work with
friendly people, beautiful countryside and perfect climate (mid-high
20 degrees C all year round).
If you are interested, please email your c.v. to Dr Lucy Carpenter at
[log in to unmask] giving the names and email addresses of two
referees before 31 July.
Thank you.
