Funding is available for a 3-year PhD studentship to work on
Robust Product Design and Prediction for Post-Harvest Pot Plant
Quality and Longevity
This is part of a MAFF Horticulture LINK project involving Horticulture
Research International (HRI) and The University of Reading, and funded by
MAFF, the Horticulture Development Council, Hansatech Instruments Ltd,
Safeway Stores plc, J Sainsbury plc and Double H House Plants.
The student will be based mainly in Reading, but will spend some time at
HRI sites at Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, and Efford, Hampshire. The
project will be jointly supervised by Steven Gilmour (Reading) and Rodney
Edmondson (Wellesbourne).
The student will join an active group at Reading working on the design and
analysis of experiments, with agricultural, industrial and biological
applications.
