Please could someone give me a reference which describes proportional
odds and proportional hazards? I believe, from the brief description
given in the Genstat manual, that one or other of these methods would
be appropriate for a student in my department to use to analyse her
data. I need to know what the difference between the two methods is
and how to interpret the resulting analysis. Not being a professional
statistician, I need information at a lower level of technical
difficulty than the McCullagh & Nelder book on "Generalized Linear
Models"; a reference that describes the practical application of
proportional odds and proportional hazards would be more appropriate.
Many thanks in advance to whoever can help me (and our student).
