We're getting an increasing amount of requests for letters from students confirming their status as students (some 400 since September '98 - just within the Business School). The amount of administration required for these is considerable and when we already issue student id cards confirming their enrolled status we are considering whether a charge should be made for this 'additional' service.
I'd be interested to know if other institutions are also seeing a rise in demand for such letters and whether they allow the limited/unlimited issue of them. Also, do you charge for the service? If so, how much?.
Thanks
