At Lancaster we have 13 ceremonies over four days in July and 3 over one day
in December. Usually the Chancellor presides over six in July and two in
December with the Pro- and Vice-Chancellors sharing the remainder.
I don't think that our students particularly complain if the Chancellor is
not present but the Mums do - our Chancellor is a Princess!
