I'm currently involved in a Working Group which is looking at the
procedures for Accreditation of Prior Learning, to try and make it as
simple as possible.
Amongst the many thorny issues that we have come across charging for
such work. Has any other University looked into this matter yet and
if so what do you charge?
On an unrelated matter, registration takes place on Monday and we
have already had a number of calls from students whose LEA has yet to
complete their assessment. My nightmare scenario is that I'll turn up on
Monday to find that the majority of students do not have their
assessments sorted out. Does anyone have a feel for the
percentage of students who are going to be thus affected? Or am I
just in that pre-registration panic and it is really all going to go
smoothly?
