Geez, really? It was obvious it was not to be a lesson in economics
since most of what was written there was totally inaccurate. You
should have read my first comment it would have given you some insight
into her problem. She thinks the problem is with economics and the
various "laws" that it has. This is not the case. Economics derives
its theories, laws, and hypotheses from some simple axioms and
assumptions about human behavior. That is economics tries to be
descriptive as well as persriptive with regards to policy. That is
first you derive your results on how a homo economicus behaves and
based on these results you talk about various policies that can be
implemented to alleviate various problems caused by the behavior.
Thus, you can't just change the economic theories, laws and hypotheses
and expect everyone to follow along. Such a position is stupid.
