The National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contemporary Scientists
The mission of the NCUACS is to locate, catalogue and find permanent
places of deposit for the manuscript papers of distinguished contemporary
British scientists and engineers, and thus preserve and make accessible
the original source materials for the history of science. It is based

from the Royal Society, the Wellcome Trust and the Higher Education
Funding Council for England.
The Unit's current cataloguing projects include the papers of seven Nobel
Laureates and the pioneer nature conservationist and broadcaster Sir Peter
