Conservator
The Churchill Archives Centre has a vacancy from 1 January 1999 for an
experienced Conservator to work on the Churchill Papers and other twentieth
century documentary collections.
The Conservator is responsible for the physical care of all archive material
in the Centre and advises the Keeper and other members of staff on all
aspects of preservation and conservation. He or she should hold the Society
of Archivists Certificate in Archive Conservation or an equivalent
qualification, and have at least five years relevant experience. He or she
should be able to undertake all types of paper repair and also be familiar
with the preservation and conservation of photographic and magnetic media.
The salary will be in the range £17,648 - £20,449 according to
qualifications and experience.
